Tezline
An AI phone receptionist that answers a business's line, captures the caller, and notifies the team.
Challenge
A small operator misses calls when everyone is on the floor, and a missed call is a missed job. The brief: answer every call in a natural voice, capture who called and why, hand the details to the team the moment the call ends, and do it without the customer having to hold a telephony account, a voice provider account, or an email provider account of their own.
Approach
Ran the calls on a managed voice platform with real phone numbers and natural voices, so the receptionist answers like a person and never drops a caller into a menu.
Sent every captured call to the business by email the moment it ended, from the product's own verified sending domain.
Added a scheduled digest: a daily summary every evening and a fortnightly report with a full call log as a CSV, so an owner can review the week without opening a dashboard.
Kept one universal notification policy for every tenant, so behaviour is predictable and support is simple.
Priced on usage and absorbed the provider costs into one line, so the customer sees one product, not four vendors.
Outcome
The business's phone is answered every time, the team gets the caller's details by email within moments, and the owner gets a daily and fortnightly picture of call volume without any new software to learn. The product runs on the same stack Mahara Labs uses everywhere else, so it is boring to operate on purpose.
