An engineering studio that ships.
Mahara Labs builds AI and software that run real businesses — our own products, including BayThru and Operations Vault, and custom systems built for clients out of Mississauga, Ontario.
We build the software that runs the working day.
Most software consultancies end with a slide deck and a system nobody on the floor wants to open. Mahara Labs was built to do the opposite: our work is the running product, the database your business owns, and the AI employee that asks before it acts.
We combine software engineering, private AI infrastructure, voice automation and growth operations to ship systems that work under real daily pressure — inside car dealerships, freight forwarders, car rental operators, trucking fleets and financial services.
We work out of Mississauga, Ontario, serving businesses across Canada and the Middle East. And we run our own company on the exact platforms we build before we ever offer them to a client.

What we believe.
The operating principles every product and client build is held to.
Principle 01
Built inside real operations
Every product and client system we ship starts from the floor where the work actually happens — the dealership service drive, the freight desk, the dispatch yard.
Principle 02
Outcomes, not slideware
We do not produce strategy decks that engineering teams cannot execute. The unit of work is a running system your people can use on Monday.
Principle 03
Private by design
Each business's data stays separated in its own workspace or deployment, with human approval before consequential AI actions and a full audit record.
Principle 04
Boring on purpose
We use technology your team can actually run — Next.js, TypeScript, Postgres, Supabase, Flutter — so the system is just as dependable in its second year as at launch.
A deliberate engineering team.
We grow around real work and senior practitioners who own the outcome. We will tell you plainly what we would build — before either of us signs anything.
Engagement model
Senior-led from first conversation to production launch, with direct accountability on every deliverable.
Delivery posture
Weekly working demos, shared dashboards, and written decision records. You see the system as it is built.
Handover discipline
Runbooks, architecture decisions, and a documented operations posture so your team can run what we shipped.
Behind Mahara Labs.
Faiz Hashmi
Faiz Hashmi founded Mahara Labs to put the newest AI to work where it counts: inside the businesses that keep cities moving. For more than eighteen years he has led technology and digital transformation across Canada and the Middle East, delivering platforms in AI, SaaS, logistics and e-commerce. He also works inside the automotive business itself, on the shop floor and in the service drive, which is why Mahara's products start from real operations, not slide decks. His vision is simple: every business, of any size, running with its own AI employee, software that answers, follows up, schedules and reports, so people can focus on the work only people can do.
